Wilson came to Melbourne in 1971 for the 9th IFMBE Conference organised by the President of the IFMBE, Dr David Dewhurst. Wilson presented the design for the Greatbatch battery, a lithium based design encased in titanium. Read this amazing history on the ETHW website.
